And even though he had to drive to Westben from Montreal a few short hours before concert time, Phil did it with a smile! Not only that, but he performed a dazzling classical piano recital that charmed an entire audience. Thankfully, videographer Stephen Dagg and recording engineer Andy Thompson were there to capture it all – the result: an incredible Digital Concert at The Barn, premiering on YouTube & our Digital Venue at 7:00 PM on November 5!

Appearing at Westben in 2021, Canadian pianist Philip Chiu was the recipient of the Prix Goyer. An exceedingly sociable pianist, Phil concertizes extensively as one of Canada’s most sought-after chamber musicians, performing regularly with principal members of Canada’s leading orchestras and ensembles, including Toronto Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Jonathan Crow, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal concertmaster Andrew Wan, and Pascale Giguere of Les Violons du Roy.
